Who they are
Citycon Engenharia e Construções was incorporated on 13 July 1994 and is based in Vila Olímpia, São Paulo. It has been run since its founding by brothers Renato João Farah and João Carlos Farah, both business administrators. Its main activity is building construction, with a declared secondary activity in the construction of sports and leisure facilities.
In June 2023 the company brought Construtora Toda do Brasil S.A. — the Brazilian arm, founded in 1972, of Japan’s Toda Corporation — into its shareholder structure. It is a significant move for a firm of Citycon’s size: it places, alongside the family partner, a group with more than five million square metres built in the country.
Product vision
- Positioning: building construction in São Paulo, with a presence in ultra-high-end residential in signature addresses.
- Differentiators: an established firm, with more than three decades of continuous activity and a declared share capital of R$ 18.2 million; since 2023, a partnership with a construction group of international scale.
- Type of work in the archive: a vertical-house condominium in a neighbourhood that does not build tall — few units, a private lift per house, an individual rooftop and operated security infrastructure.
Works
- Hype Gabriel (Jardim América) — three houses of 619 to 627 m² on Alameda Gabriel Monteiro da Silva, on a 900 m² plot, with architecture by Roberto Migotto and development in partnership with Hype Empreendimentos. Delivered in 2025.
