Who they are
Plano&Plano was founded in São Paulo in 1997 and is today one of Brazil’s largest builders and developers, with shares traded on the B3 under the ticker PLPL3 since 2020. The company is known for its scale in affordable housing and the Minha Casa Minha Vida programme — but that was not its origin. The company was born, in its own account, “focused on providing engineering and construction services for the high-end segment,” and only turned its portfolio to the super-affordable product from the early 2010s, with the creation of its own construction method. It is this first phase that explains the brand’s presence at boutique addresses in the Jardins.
From the initial phase come milestones such as the partnership with Inocoop-SP (1998), the ISO 9001 and PBQP-H Level A certification (2000), the associative-credit agreement with Caixa (2001) and the expansion into inland São Paulo state (2002). The shift in scale came with the joint venture with Cyrela Brazil Realty, in 2006, and with diversification into the affordable segment from 2012 onward. Since 2013 the company has regularly placed among the top spots of the Top Imobiliário award (Estadão/Secovi) in the builder and developer categories, and in the ITC ranking of Brazil’s 100 Largest Builders.

- Reading for the archive: the brand appearing in an ultra-high-end entry in the Jardins is not a contradiction — it is the signature of the company’s first phase. The affordable segment and boutique work coexist in the same trajectory, twenty years apart.
