Espírito Santo Property Brasil
The Brazilian arm of a Portuguese conglomerate, a partner of the Oscar Americano house in almost everything it built in São Paulo — including a ten-million-square-metre country condominium.
Who it is
Espírito Santo Property Brasil (ESPB) was born from the union of Portugal’s Grupo Espírito Santo with OA Empreendimentos Imobiliários, of the Grupo Oscar Americano. The two groups had already been partners since 1993, on projects in Brazil and abroad, and the partnership signs much of what defines today’s surroundings of Parque Villa-Lobos: the residential Praça Villa Lobos, the Place des Vosges, the Shopping Villa Lobos and commercial towers on Berrini and Marginal Pinheiros.
Outside the capital, the pair signs the development that became synonymous with resort living in the São Paulo countryside: Quinta da Baroneza, launched in 1999 in Bragança Paulista and winner of the 2013 Prêmio Master Imobiliário in the ultra-high-end development category. The name and the tiles at the condominium’s main entrance echo the Quinta do Patino, in Estoril, also built by Grupo Espírito Santo with OA’s participation.
The Brazilian portfolio of Grupo Oscar Americano is now gathered and managed by Casuarina.
Product vision
- Positioning: large-scale, high-end developments — mixed-use complexes, residential, commercial, land subdivisions, shopping centres and logistics parks.
- Differentiators: European capital and pedigree combined with the execution and land bank of a traditional São Paulo developer; territorial scale as a product.
Developments
- Quinta da Baroneza, in Bragança Paulista — 971 lots across ten million m², launched in 1999.
- Praça Villa Lobos, in Alto de Pinheiros.
- Outside the collection’s scope: Place des Vosges, Shopping Villa Lobos, commercial buildings on Berrini and Marginal Pinheiros, and projects in Miami and Lisbon.
Signatures in the portfolio
No development in the collection carries this signature yet — it is here for the weight of the name in São Paulo's high end.
