Flora Cukierkorn

A quarter-century of São Paulo interiors, almost always on the builder's own side: common areas and units designed before the building even exists.

Who she is

Flora Cukierkorn Diskin signs architecture and interior decoration projects in São Paulo. In 2014, the studio itself counted twenty-five years of career — residential, commercial, clinic, office and condominium projects, many of them published in decor magazines, alongside constant participation in trade shows. She was one of the city’s pioneers in shop-window styling.

The trait of most interest to an encyclopedia of addresses is another one: she works in partnership with builders, developing the complete design of a residential or commercial condominium’s common and internal areas before launch. It is the architecture that defines how the building will be sold, not the renovation that comes after handover.

In our collection, her name appears alongside Israel Rewin‘s in the design credit for Barão do Tietê, in Cerqueira César — a work by MC Incorporadora begun in July 2016. The source is the development’s page on the builder’s website, which registers both names together without saying what belongs to each; this entry stops where the source stops.

Language

  • Style: contemporary with memory — blending antique objects and furniture with the modern, subtly, tending to detail and avoiding excess.
  • Materials and signature: the declared focus is sensory and practical at once: comfort, well-being, practicality, charm and harmony in the spaces.
  • Awards: (none found).
