Mirage Ibirapuera

History

By Toledo Ferrarii, with DZ Inc’s participation, architecture by Jonas Birgeri, interior design by Suíte Arquitetosi and landscaping by Cardimi, Mirage Ibirapuera is located in Moemai, opposite Clube Monte Líbanoi and about 800 metres from Parque Ibirapuerai. The tower brings together the residential section, with one apartment per floor, and a studio wing.

Architecture and aesthetics

The design challenge was the plot: just over a thousand square metres to accommodate two programmes that rarely coexist at the same address — 238 m² residences and studios of nineteen to twenty-five. Jonas Birgeri solved it in section, not in plan: a single, contemporary volume of twenty-four floors, with separate accesses at the base and the leisure area installed on the third floor, a level that works as a joint between the two wings. From the fourth floor upwards the building becomes something else — a whole slab per family, from the standard apartment to the 427 m² duplex penthouse. Interiors by Suíte Arquitetosi and landscaping by Cardim Arquiteturai.

Moema: the address

Two names for the same address

The plot sits on the border between Moema and Ibirapuera, and both names are legitimate. The postcode registers Ibirapuera; the high-end market treats the address as Moema. The factsheet adopts the name in common use and keeps the other for anyone searching for it.

Number 2354 has an Ibirapuerai postcode and a Moemai neighbourhood, and the contradiction is literal: Avenida República do Líbano is the seam between the two, and the address sits exactly on it. The neighbour across the street is not a building or a plot — it is Clube Monte Líbanoi, which occupies the entire opposite pavement, so that what lies in front is a club frontage, not a building’s. That defines what is heard and seen from here: the avenue’s traffic is passing through, not neighbourly. The rest is walkable: Estação Moemai on Line 5 – Lilac four hundred and forty metres away, Shopping Ibirapuerai five hundred and forty, and Parque Ibirapuerai less than seven hundred. It is the stretch of Moemai where the neighbourhood has already become an avenue without yet becoming a city.
