Who they are
DP Barros was born from the union of two sisters — Pricilla Barros Jabur, who leads general direction and creative work, and Daniella Barros Antão, responsible for the commercial, financial and administrative side. Their initials give the firm its name. For more than two decades the two have shared the same declared purpose: interior design projects that bring together aesthetics, functionality and well-being. More recently two more sisters joined the ownership, Ana Claudia Rachid (creative) and Tereza Cristina Rachid (deployment, production and installation).
The firm is based in São Paulo and operates with a strong focus on the real estate market: decoration of common areas, decorated apartments and sales stands for developers — alongside a commercial front. The house is also spelled DP Barros Interiores and DP Barros Arquitetos.
Language
- Method: collaborative creation, with close follow-through at every stage right up to installation — the same team that designs is the one that deploys.
- Discourse: the firm treats the project as the setting for a home in use — “every object in the house earns its place” — with strategies designed for the moment when the resident takes possession of a new property.
