By Lote5 Incorporadorai, with architecture by MCAA Arquitetosi, interior design by Fernanda Marquesi and landscaping by Benedito Abbudi, Copa is born in Moemai betting on scale and greenery: a single tower, a thirty-metre setback from the street and a private grove formed by the plot’s original trees, facing Parque das Bicicletasi. From the bow of this green deck, rare in such a dense neighbourhood, the view anchors on the preserved grove rather than on another façade.

Architecture and aesthetics

The gesture that defines Copa is the void: MCAA Arquitetosi set the tower back thirty metres from the building line of Avenida Indianópolis and used the freed strip to preserve the plot’s original trees, so that the building is seen from behind a grove rather than from the pavement. The volume is single and contemporary — fourteen storeys, two residences per floor, a private lobby with two lifts and a floor plan designed to accept reconfiguration. Landscaping by Benedito Abbudi, who stitches the existing grove to the new areas, and interior design by Fernanda Marquesi.

Moema: the address

Two names for the same address

The plot sits on the border between Moema and Indianópolis, and both names are legitimate. The postcode registers Indianópolis; the high-end market treats the address as Moema. This entry adopts the name in common use and keeps the other for anyone searching for it.

Number 300 on Avenida Indianópolis sits at the point where the avenue meets Avenida Ibirapuerai, facing Parque das Bicicletasi — forty-four thousand square metres of track, pump track and outdoor gym, a sports park for everyday use, which is a different thing from Parque Ibirapuerai a kilometre away. It is the side of Moemai the market calls Índios, after the alamedas named for indigenous peoples: denser and more mixed than the Pássaros side, with schools, a hospital, street-level shops and two stations of Line 5 – Lilac — Estação Moemai and Estação AACD-Servidori — within the same seven-hundred-metre radius.
