History

Developed by R. Yazbek with PDG, Agre and Cyrela, with architecture by MCAA and decoration by Neusa Nakata, Hemisphere Ibirapuera is a two-tower condominium in Moema, anchored close to Parque Ibirapuera. The towers have their own names, Sphere and Scope, and the complex delivers club-style facilities.

  • Concept: the two-tower condominium with club-style leisure facilities, right next to Ibirapuera.
  • Trivia: the towers are called Sphere and Scope, and the plot is over 6,800 m².

Architecture and aesthetics

MCAA Arquitetos had in hand a rare plot in Moema — almost seven thousand square metres — and used it to unfold the programme into two towers, named Sphere and Scope, instead of concentrating it in a single block: the arrangement frees up the ground for the leisure base and keeps just two residences per floor, despite the complex’s 104 units. The line is contemporary high-end, with the gourmet balcony built into both the floor plan and the façade. Decoration by Neusa Nakata; the landscaping project is not publicly documented and, therefore, is not attributed here.

Moema: the address

Two names for the same address

The plot sits on the border between Moema and Vila Uberabinha, and both names are legitimate. The postcode registers Vila Uberabinha; the high-end market treats the address as Moema. This entry adopts the name in common use and keeps the other for anyone searching by it.

Avenida Juriti begins here: number 73 sits at the low end of the road, where the “Moema of the Birds” borders Vila Nova Conceição and the boundary between the two neighbourhoods stops being noticeable on the street. It is the stretch closest to the green — Parque Ibirapuera is less than four hundred metres away —, and what can be reached on foot from here comes from both sides: the Saturday market on Avenida República do Líbano and the Sunday one on Rua dos Canários, schools less than three hundred metres away, and Shopping Ibirapuera and Moema Station on Line 5 – Lilac just over seven hundred metres away. It is also one of the few folds of Moema where a large plot still fit, and therefore one of the few where the neighbourhood allowed a two-tower complex instead of a single tower on a tight plot.
