Alphaville Graciosa

History

The Alphaville Graciosa brought to Paraná the formula the Alphaville brand launched in São Paulo on the former Fazenda Tamboré — the gated community of houses with its own club and security, here in the golf country-club version. Founded in 2000, in Pinhaisi, in the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba, it opened an eighteen-hole golf course in 2001 that became one of the country’s references for the sport, host to regional, national and international tournaments. It is a sibling, in the brand’s lineage, of the São Paulo residential developments Alphaville Residencial 1i and Alphaville Residencial 10i.

• Concept: the golf country club as the heart of a gated community — the eighteen-hole course organises the landscape and social life, and the houses are laid out around it, among forest and lakes.
• Curiosities: the course is signed by American golf architect Dan Blankenshipi, the same one behind the course at Quinta da Baronezai, and recognised by national and international experts as one of the best in Brazil.

Architecture and aesthetics

Like every gated community under the brand, the Alphaville Graciosa is not defined by a façade, but by its layout and occupation code: the houses are custom-built, spread across a territory of native forest and lakes, and what gives the ensemble its unity is the golf course — which functions as landscaping on a territorial scale, with the streets and residences following the fairways. The design of the course, by Dan Blankenshipi, is the development’s declared architectural gesture.

Pinhais: the address

Pinhaisi is the smallest municipality in Paraná by area, part of the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba and conurbated with the state capital, a few minutes from downtown Curitiba and from Afonso Pena International Airport, in São José dos Pinhais, on the other side of the metropolitan region. It is an address of cool plateau climate and urban proximity: those who live in the Alphaville Graciosa have the golf course and the forest inside the wall and the infrastructure of a state capital a few kilometres away — a different arrangement from the São Paulo countryside, which trades distance for rural scenery.
