William Simonato

The signature behind Jardim Europa's "St." line: architecture with few neighbours and generous floor plans for the ultra-high end of the market.

Who he is

William Simonato is an architect who graduated from FAU-USP in 1980 and, since 1989, has been a partner at Bick Simonato Arquitetura e Decoração alongside Luiz Ricardo Bick (an economist from FAAP, with training in interior architecture). The practice moves from architecture through to the final interior styling, across residential, commercial, corporate and institutional projects, with work published in the leading magazines of Brazil, Europe and South America, a presence at exhibitions such as Casa Cor São Paulo since 1997, and projects also in New York and Miami. The practice is based in Itaim Bibi.

Language

  • Style: low-density high end, built on the logic of the “suspended house”, spacious and integrated living areas, and floor plans on the scale of the grand residences of the Jardins.
  • Materials and brand: refined finishes and projects that go all the way to the decoration, combining architecture and interiors under the same roof.
  • Awards: work published in the specialist press of Brazil and abroad; a regular presence at Casa Cor São Paulo since 1997.
