By Construtora São Joséi, with architecture by William Simonatoi, decoration by Bick & Simonatoi and landscaping by Luciana Moraesi, St. Paul raises its prow among the most luxurious addresses of Jardim Europai, leaning over the green of Parque do Povoi, on the same Rua Frederic Chopini as its siblings St. Philipi and St. Patricki. With one flat per floor, it anchors some of the largest layouts in the city, with a duplex of 1,413 m² that very few towers in São Paulo can rival.

Architecture and aesthetics

Contemporary and ultra-high-end, St. Paul pushes to the limit the standard of William Simonatoi‘s “St.” line for Construtora São Joséi: one flat per floor in two types, of 744 and 865 m², under a duplex penthouse of 1,413 m². The least visible gesture is the one that sustains the rest — the garage: twelve parking spaces per unit in the standard type, twenty in the duplex and a further twenty-five for visitors form a building beneath the building, and it is the basement, not the façade, that gives the real measure of the programme. In the common area the scale repeats, with a heated, covered pool with three 25-metre lanes, an official clay tennis court and a porte-cochère at the entrance; rainwater harvesting and solar water heating factor into the accounts of a building whose consumption is, by definition, high. Jardim Europa: the address

Two names for the same address

The plot sits on the border between Jardim Europa and Jardim Paulistano, and both names are legitimate. The postcode registers Jardim Paulistano; the high-end market treats the address as Jardim Europa. This entry adopts the name in common use and keeps the other for anyone searching for it.

Number 217 stands at the head of Rua Frederic Chopin over the green: 168 metres to Parque do Povoi, 292 to the edge of Parque Bruno Covasi, Cidade Jardim Stationi within walking distance and the exit onto Avenida Cidade Jardimi just ahead, which links the address to Faria Limai, to Nove de Julhoi and to the marginal system. It is the stretch that resolves the paradox of Jardim Europai. The Companhia City’s layout, horizontal and of large plots, gives silence and charges for it: little railway, little avenue and a horizon that ends at the neighbour’s wall.
