Casa Jardim Itaverá

History

From Seed Incorpi, with architecture by João Armentanoi, Casa Jardim Itaverá was conceived as an urban refuge in Cidade Jardimi: thirteen houses three minutes from the Jóquei Clubei and adjoining Parque Alfredo Volpii, one of the most tree-lined parks in the West Zone. A green harbour just metres from the city’s bustle.

Architecture and aesthetics

Contemporary lines in house format, signed by João Armentanoi — clean lines, natural light and materials of natural beauty, in a grammar where luxury is measured by warmth rather than opulence. The concept folds the residence over the greenery itself: the garden enters the living room at ground level and the roof gives back the horizon as a rooftop with an infinity-edge pool. The gesture that defines the development, however, is at the threshold — a lobby with bulletproof glass and an entry airlock — because it is this that allows the thirteen families to live with their doors open inwards.

Cidade Jardim: the address

Cidade Jardimi has two natures that its single name hides: the mixed-use complex on the edge of the Marginal Pinheirosi, with towers, a designer-brand malli and offices within a single perimeter, and the horizontal garden-suburb that lies behind it — large plots, tree-lined streets, set-back houses. Rua Itaverá belongs to the second. From here, Parque Alfredo Volpii begins less than two hundred metres away, with 142,000 m² of remaining Atlantic Forest, trails, lakes and springs, and the listed racecourse of the Jockeyi holds the region’s other great green frontage. The complex is a short drive away: it serves the address without ever appearing in its window.
