History

By Birmann, with architecture by Itamar Berezin, Parque do Tangará is a classic from the mid-2000s in Panamby, overlooking Parque Burle Marx and anchored next to the Hotel Palácio Tangará. The layouts are generous, with a permanent view of the greenery.

  • Concept: the classic of spacious layouts with a permanent view of Parque Burle Marx.
  • Curiosities: it predates the Hotel Palácio Tangará (from 2017), its neighbour.

Architecture and aesthetics

A single tower in classical register — one of the addresses where Itamar Berezin works outside the steel, concrete and glass vocabulary that marks much of his high-end output. The approach is one of orientation, not gesture: the building is set less than fifty metres from the boundary of Parque Burle Marx and organises the layouts around that face, so that the greenery enters through the social areas of the units, from 607 to 1,200 m². As the park is public and established, the view does not depend on the neighbouring plot — which is what separates a view from a permanent view in a neighbourhood that has continued to build upward all around it. The infrastructure matches the scale: the generator covers a hundred per cent of the load. The interiors and landscaping projects are not publicly documented and are therefore not credited here.

Panamby: the address

Two names for the same address

The postal service registers this stretch as Paraíso do Morumbi — a registration name almost no one uses. The market, the residents and anyone looking for it say Panamby. This entry adopts the name in common use: it is what people search, advertise and buy by.

Rua Deputado Laércio Corte runs along the low edge of Panamby, on the stretch where the planned enclave meets the river lowland — and number 1465 has Parque Burle Marx on the other side of the pavement. It is a distinct pocket from the core of the neighbourhood. Where the interior of Panamby depends entirely on the car, this stretch has rail within walking distance: João Dias Station, on Line 9 – Emerald, is seven hundred and fifty metres away, and the Marginal Pinheiros, with Parque Bruno Covas along its bank, begins just below. Daily life is resolved within the perimeter — the Panamby Campus of Colégio Visconde de Porto Seguro three hundred metres away, Shopping Jardim Sul just over a kilometre away, Shopping Cidade Jardim minutes away along the expressway. The registered address says Paraíso do Morumbi; Panamby is the name the area uses and the market recognises — and it is the same block.
