The neighbourhood’s story
Pinheiros is the address for those who want to be at the centre of São Paulo’s cultural, gastronomic and creative life. Bohemian and sophisticated at once, it mixes traditional streets, converted warehouses, award-winning restaurants and the vigour of Faria Lima on its edge. After the arrival of Line 4-Yellow and the revitalisation of Largo da Batata, it became one of the city’s fastest-appreciating neighbourhoods, attracting a young, trendy, high-income public.
High-end high-rise development is recent and highly contested; well-located plots, close to the metro and away from bar noise, are few and increasingly prized.

The surrounding area
- Clubs: Esporte Clube Pinheiros, on the border with Alto de Pinheiros, is the great sporting and social anchor of the area.
- Schools: traditional and international schools of the western zone, a short distance away.
- Dining and lifestyle: Rua dos Pinheiros, Baixo Pinheiros and Oscar Freire concentrate fine dining and nightlife; the Mercado Municipal de Pinheiros, the Instituto Tomie Ohtake and Sesc Pinheiros add culture and leisure.
- Parks: Parque Villa-Lobos, nearby, is the area’s great green and sporting lung.
